Wrong Suspect in Radio Murder

In a case of mistaken identity, the Uganda Police in Fort Portal arrested a man they suspected to have taken part in the murder of musician Moses Sekibogo alias Mowzey Radio (Moze Radio). An unlucky man has been arrested and later released in a case of mistaken identity of Troy Wamala, a man suspected to have taken part in the death of musician Mowzey Radio who died last week.

The arrested guy has been identified as Ivan Muhihi, a resident of Kireka in Kampala. Hailing from Rukingiri district was arrested at 6.30am on Sunday at the Glue Pot bar in Fort Portal town according to Musa Tibakirana, the Kabarole district police commander.

Musa Tibakirana, the Kabarole District Police Commander, explains that the said man was arrested at 6:30 am on Sunday at the popular bar in Fort Portal town. This was after police receiving information from revelers at the bar that there was a bearded man who resembles Godfrey Wamala, the bouncer implicated in the death of Mowzey Radio.

Later released, Muhihi is a look-alike to the main suspect Godfrey Wamala, a bouncer at the De Bar in Entebbe from where Mowzey is said to have sustained head injuries that eventually led to his death.

He says that police detectives were dispatched to the bar and arrested the man. He was then taken to Fort Portal police station and upon interrogation, it was established that police had arrested the wrong man.

Wamala went missing after sending Radio six feet under with a punch.
